Move over Amazon Marketing Services (AMS), Seller Central is stepping up its game. Over the past month, Amazon has been rolling out a beta across brand registered sellers to include Headline Search Ads in Seller Central.
For those out of the loop, Headline Search is an ad format that had been reserved for vendors with AMS access only. This ad type allows merchants to target specific keywords with a top-of-page banner ad, like so:
What We Discovered
After performing an internal review, we identified that every merchant with a brand registry has access to this ad type. For merchants without a brand registry, this field is missing.
Unlike AMS, these ads can only be created for items within the registered brand associated with the account. This is a small price to pay for an ad type that was previously unavailable to Seller Central merchants.
