Invalid clicks are clicks on your ad that Google determines to have been generated by prohibited methods. Examples of invalid clicks can include repeated manual clicking or the use of robots, automated clicking tools, or other deceptive software.
Google keeps a close eye on every click that is made on every Adwords Ad. They analyze things like IP address, click patterns, and duplicate clicks to determine if a click is invalid.

In order to view the invalid clicks to your ads, it is now possible to set up Invalid Clicks and Invalid Click rate as a metric in the UI at the campaign level.
To set this up, go to the campaign level for your AdWords account. Select “Columns” from the options beneath the “Campaigns” tab, and then select the “Invalid Clicks” and “Invalid Click Rate” options from the “Performance” column. Save, and then you will be able to see the invalid clicks and invalid click rates for your campaigns.
Google does not charge you for invalid clicks in your account. You are also able to view the number of clicks that have been refunded to your account within the Google AdWords UI. To view the adjustments made to your account to reimburse you for invalid clicks, go to the “Billing” tab, and select “Billing Summary.”
Here, you’re able to set a time frame to see the specifics of your billing information. To see the invalid click reimbursements, select a time frame, and then select “Transaction Type- Adjustments” – this will show you adjustments to your bill based on invalid clicks as “Adjustment- Click Quality”.
